Went sea fishing in my home area of Oakura Bay near the Bay Of Islands today with my brother in law to be and ex fly fishing guide Mike Burgin. Had a great afternoon on soft plastics catching several nice snapper up to around 6 pounds. Used my small tin boat as the big one is having some operations performed.

Hope you cleaned the boat out – dad’s not around to clean it for you now.
I dont see any crayfish here either what the hell is going on you said you were going up north to get me some crays
Don’t worry Charlie, I have one in my freezer you can have – Andrew didn’t get it though – Nick did. You are welcome to it – but you have to come up here to get it.
P.S. The back has recovered but the toe still reminds me now and again not to slip on river rocks! Am getting my mind around a “Next Time” trip.
