Went chasing some of the New Zealands Central North Island trout today and had a great day out with my mate Carl Sawyer pictured here with a 7 lb he landed. I landed a bigger one of 8.75 lb that was an absolute cracker of a fish but unfortunately the photos did turn out. Carl lost the biggest of the day - likely around 11 lb. Caught several more smaller fish and Carl lost 2 good ones on dry fly. I felt better about todays results as normally I am the one busting them off!
