Still zillions of people fishing the Tongariro and hard to find space today. This does seem to happen noawadays at this time of the year on busy weekends such as this. Nevertheless we continued Ross’s learning curve by going out for a couple of hours. Whilst working on his double hauling and mending technique Ross managed to hook 2, landing 1 smallish one but the bigger one gettting away. Ross is now almost able to completely rig his setup and fish unassisted, he is also realizing when his casts are working and realizes what it feels like whent the rod loads well and when his tracking is out. I managed to hook 2 on the wet line and 1 nymphing – just 2 or 3 hours this morning.
