Went exploring the lower TT today with Chappie Chapman, sharing lyes and things – thats not tall stories about fishing but spots where trout rest on their spawning migration up the Tauranga-Taupo river.

We had a good day out – not huge numbers of trout (5 hookups), but that wasn’t the mission. If a guide spends all his time thrashing his best posies then he doesn’t find new ones for when the going gets tough in the other spots or for busy days when there are other fishermen everywhere.
