I stayed home myself yesterday but my Alaskan fish-a-holic friend Ross Novak and fellow guide Steven Rowe caught a few recoveries in the hydro pool of the tongariro yesterday afternoon. There are loads of big browns in the river at the moment also as can be proven easily on a clear day by following the river up slowly from the end of Grace Road and looking under virtually every willow.
